HCC Offers Transportation Vouchers
Program Reimburses Costs To and From Medical, Dental Appointments

The Health Care Coalition of Lafayette County (HCC) is offering a transportation voucher program to help eligible Lafayette County residents with costs associated with traveling to and from primary care, mental health and dental appointments.

"As the economy tightens, it's harder for individuals to justify costs for simple necessities like getting to and from medical, dental and mental health appointments. We believe these vouches eliminate transportation challenges that sometimes stand between patients and their physical and mental well-being," said HCC Executive Director Toniann Richard.

The transportation vouchers reimburse patients for mileage. However, program eligibility is based on income and limited to providers participating in the program.

Lafayette County residents who are interested in the program may pick up an application at the Rodgers-Lafayette Dental and Health Center to confirm eligibility. Those interested can reach Rodgers-Lafayette at 660.259.3823, or HCC at 660.259.9019.

Providers who are interested in the program may pick up information packets from the HCC office.
